this is the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

2.14.09

Well I am almost human again, I ran three miles this morning, well a little more it is equalivilant to a 5k. There is actually one this morning set up by the MWR, however I hang out with people that have to be at work by 8 am, so I was sort of shit out of luck, and would have had to run by myself. I really exerted myself this morning, and I feel fine. I know I will be able to relaz a little bit more now that I got a lot of pent up energy out.

Well I am going to check my email, and get ready to head down to the clinic for another long day. However at least I went for a run.

I am really terrible at this hole blogging thing. Well week one in a combat zone, and I can say so far everything is going. It is really hard for me to actually have a defination for what I am supost to do. To be honest this isn't what I thought was going to be happening for the delployment. Thankfully it isn't starting to get old just yet. I got my G9 today which I plan on taking some pictures with. I am really waiting for my fisheye and the new 35mm holga camera. I guess there is something about heat ruining film, well we will just have to take all the film before it gets hot anyways. Which to be honest once we get in the swing of things and settled everything will be okay.

There isn't much to talk about, I love the hodgy movie shop. I am trying to take a picture everyday of me being ridiculious. Every night we sit outside and bullshit. It is great. I wish the internet was a bit more realiable, and I felt more productive at the end of the day.

I was able to go for a run today, however I went alone, I have two guys that will go running with me. The run was really hard on my legs, but it was the first run I have done in about 3 months. I was suprised I went as far as I did. I think it was about 1.8 miles. We are going to hit the gym tomorrow, well if I am done by a certain time I will, and do some lifting.

The next step in my self improvement is to eat better. The food is outstanding here, the only terrible thing is that they give you so much of it. And when four portions of pasta are on your plate and it is so delicious how can you say no.

I am thinking about getting a PA flag to hang in my room. I may just hang a few pictures. I do think a PA flag would be awesome to have, though.

They have this thing where you can buy an american flag and take it to the mayers cell, there they will fly it for the day then give you a certificate saying that flag flew for a day in Iraq. It is a neat idea as a gift for someone, but to be honest I don't love america enough, to buy a flag that was made in India or China, and fly it for a day in Iraq. The sooner i am rid of this country the better.

I havnt gone looking yet for my suviner from Iraq. there is some neat stuff like hooka's. I may just get some custom embroidry. I really wished the internet worked right now.
